1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Factbase, the data laboratory for the Global Institute for National Capability, based at the Oxford Centre for Innovation, Blue Boar Court, 9 Alfred Street, Oxford, OX1 4EH, United Kingdom.
2. The Service
Factbase provides open data, research, indices, and tools for the measurement of nations. We may add, change, or remove parts of the Service at any time, and we may set reasonable limits on use to keep the Service reliable for everyone.
3. Use of our data and licensing
Our open datasets and indices are made available for research and analysis. Except where a different licence is stated, you may access and use the data for lawful purposes provided you attribute Factbase as the source. Where a specific dataset carries its own licence or terms, those apply to that dataset.

In particular, you must not: use it unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to it; scrape or extract data in a way that harms the Service or breaches applicable limits; or misrepresent the data or its source.

The data is provided for information and research and is not professional advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Factbase and the Global Institute for National Capability will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or from any interruption or error in it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
8. Intellectual property
The Factbase name, branding, software, and the presentation of the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms do not transfer any rights in them to you, except the limited right to use the Service as described here.
9. Third-party content and services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party content and services. We are not responsible for third-party materials, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you breach these terms or where necessary to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
